About

A young woman and a man standing together outdoors under a tree, smiling at the camera. The woman has shoulder-length brown hair and wears a black sweater, holding a woven bag. The man has long dark hair, visible tattoos on his arms, and wears a black polo shirt and beige shorts.

The way you live shows up in your body.

Long hours at a desk. Strength training. Running. Travel. Stress. Old injuries. Pregnancy and postpartum changes. Hypermobility. Even the things you love doing can leave their mark.

Our practice is built for people who want bodywork to be more thoughtful than simply booking a massage and choosing a pressure level. We see it as an opportunity to slow down, pay attention, and understand what your body is asking for.

Every session begins with a conversation about how you move, train, work, recover, and feel in your body. We look at the full picture: where you're experiencing tension or discomfort, what may be contributing to it, and what you want from the session. From there, the work is tailored to you.

Henry trained at the San Francisco School of Massage & Bodywork and began his career working with private clients. Before massage, he studied and practiced art, where a longstanding fascination with anatomy and close observation shaped the way he works with the body. One of the defining qualities of his sessions is that same attention to detail: noticing small areas of tension, asymmetry, and restriction that can easily be overlooked, and working with them carefully rather than relying on a predetermined routine.

His approach is especially well suited to people who think actively about their health, including strength-training and endurance athletes, desk-bound professionals, people working through accumulated strain or old injuries, hypermobile clients, and those navigating pregnancy, postpartum, or periods of high physical and mental demand.

Some days, your body may need focused work on an area affecting your training. Other days, it may be recovery between hard sessions, relief from hours spent behind a screen, or simply space to let your system settle after a relentless week. There is no fixed treatment to move through. The session responds to the person who arrives that day.

Behind the scenes, Rira runs the practice and brings both a personal and professional perspective to how we think about care. Her own experience with hypermobility has made her particularly attuned to the difference between generic bodywork and care that accounts for the individual in front of you. Outside the practice, she works in strategic operations in the venture space, so she also understands firsthand the pace, travel, long days, and constant cognitive load that characterize many of our clients' lives.

We're a husband-and-wife team and proud Richmond District locals. We built this practice for our San Francisco community: thoughtful, individualized bodywork for people who ask a lot of themselves and want to create a little more space to feel well in their bodies.
